H.E. Mr. DUONG Hai Hung is Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the Italian Republic, concurrently accredited as the Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Malta, and the Republic of San Marino. He is also the Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to Rome-based UN agencies (FAO, IFAD, and WFP). He joined the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1999. Prior to the current posting, he was Deputy Director General of the ASEAN Department (2017-2021) and of the Europe Department (2013-2014) at the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also held various postings at the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba (2014-2017) and in the United Kingdom (2005-2009). He has a master degree in International Law.
